The Ribocon Team
With the beginning of the genomic era and the emergence of new DNA sequencing technologies, an outstanding demand for high-quality bioinformatics services has emerged in microbiology - requested by academia and industry.
This observation was made by Dr. Jörg Peplies and Prof. Dr. Frank Oliver Glöckner during their corresponding scientific work at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology, resulting in the formation of the bioinformatics service company Ribocon in early 2005.
Jörg Peplies is now chief executive officer of Ribocon and the management board is completed by Arno Geerds, an expert for finances and chief financial officer of Ribocon.
As important as the management is our team of highly experienced biologists, computational biologists, and computer scientists. They assure that Ribocon possesses outstanding knowledge and abilities in the field of microbial bioinformatics and that we are able to satisfy our customers' needs on a daily basis.
